[NEWS] 120719 B.A.P, 50,000 Albums Thrown Away. Why?
B.A.P’s first mini-album planned to be released on the 19th was delayed because 50,000 copies had to be thrown out. The five tracks of their first mini-album ‘No Mercy’ was released along with the music video for the title track of the same name on the 19th. The album was supposed to be released on the same day in offline stores but a problem was discovered in the finished product, so 50,000 copies were thrown out and it was decided that they would be reproduced. According to the agency TS Entertainment, “We were intent on released the album at the same time as the online release on the 19th but the ink used in the printing job for the album showed subtle differences from what we had wanted, so for the promise we made to fans to gift them with the best album possible every time, we made a sudden decision to throw them out. In ‘NO MERCY,’ “B.A.P – who is pursuing a POP-BOY concept that leads the trends of the new generation – used bright primary colors so we wanted perfect coloring.” Title song ‘No Mercy’ achieved 10th on Melon’s real-time charts within moments of its release. It’ exciting hip-hop rhythm and rock riffs, along with Bang Yongguk and Zelo’s dialect rap and samulnori (T/N: Korean traditional percussion music) sound leave a deep impression. It has received a reputation as a fresh song that has B.A.P’s distinctive experimental style. Johnny Bros Hong Wonki – who has earned a reputation as the best music video director through his work with Girls’ Generation, Seo Taiji, B2ST, Super Junior, etc – has created another masterpiece through flashy sets and sensational editing.
